CASE STUDY

London Road

PROJECT OVERVIEW

full refurbishment

Commissioned through a strategic architectural partnership, the London Road project involved a full refurbishment alongside substantial single and double-storey rear extensions. Arranged over three floors, the property was comprehensively reconfigured to maximise internal volume, improve flow and introduce significantly more natural light.

The Brief

The objective was to transform the existing house into a large-scale contemporary residence centred around open-plan living and a strong visual connection to the gardens.
Extensive rear extensions across multiple levels
Reconfiguration of all three floors
Increased ceiling heights and internal volume
High-specification finishes throughout

Our Approach

The defining architectural element is a feature glazed gable to the rear elevation. This full-height glazing floods the principal living spaces with natural light while creating a seamless connection to the grounds. Delivering the single and double-storey extensions required careful structural integration with the existing building, ensuring continuity in both form and performance.

Maintaining close, direct dialogue with the client throughout the build allowed us to refine the architectural vision in real time. Bespoke detailing and specialist finishes were incorporated during construction, elevating the outcome beyond the original brief.
